You can get paid every time someone clicks on one of the ads on your blog or website. Sounds easy right. Well it is. There are many pay per click (PPC) or cost per click (CPC) networks available to choose from. Some work better than others. Some pay more than others. You have to test the different ad networks to determine which one works best for your blog or website.
Some pay per click networks work better with technology blogs than they do with business, mortgage or make money blogs so you will have to determine which works best for you. In a nutshell a pay per click network such as Chitika or Infolinks will display small ads on your blog after you insert a tiny bit of code where you want the ads to display on your blog.
An ad network such as Infolinks will use in-text ads which utilize the existing content from your posts to generate advertisements when the mouse is hovered or clicked on a dashed on double line. Other networks such as Chitika will display ads that contain text and graphic product images. Both types of ads will pay you when they are clicked on.
2) Affiliate Networks
An affiliate network such as Pepperjam enables you to join affiliate programs to generate revenue. An affiliate program is when an advertiser pays you a commission when a reader clicks on the ad and then performs the designated action such as signing up for a free trial or purchasing a product or service from the advertser.
Affiliate programs typically pay much greater than a typical pay per click ad because the advertiser is willing to pay high commissions for a guaranteed lead or sale. Depending on the affiliate program you may be paid from $1 – $30 dollars or much higher for a lead or sale. It varies greatly depending on the product or service.

Direct advertising can be one of the most profitable ways to make money online from your blog or website. Direct advertising is when you sell ad space on your blog directly to advertisers either using a plugin on your blog or with a service that places the ads for you. Regardless of how you sell your ads a blog that has substantial daily traffic, page rank and readers can stand to earn a tremendous amount of monthly income.
If you can build the traffic needed and sustain a strong following of readers you could potentially earn anywhere from $1000 – $50,000 a month or much more from direct advertising. Not everyone will be able to achieve this level of income from their blog however with hard work and perseverance you can surely make money online and earn a good living doing what you love.
