Although only basic information, such as your name, address and phone number is required to sign up for a PayPal account, to become verified by PayPal, you must provide additional information that proves your identity, such as a credit card or bank account number. Once your PayPal account is verified, you may access a PayPal Verified button to post on websites to increase a buyer's trust and confidence in what you are selling.
Instructions

Navigate to the PayPal website and log in to your account.

Click the "Status: Verified" link below your name at the top of the website.

Click the "Manually" link next to the PayPal Verified button to display the button code.

Highlight and copy the complete HTML code in the box below the PayPal Verified button.

Navigate to the website where you want to display the button and access the HTML file for your website or auction.

Paste the entire HTML code into the HTML file and save your changes.
